Know how many people are in your space.
One live number for every room, floor, and line out the door. Count with a tap at the entrance, a photo of the room, or a camera feed — and get alerted before you hit capacity, not after.
No hardware required · Counts, not faces · Works with what you have
Count three ways. Decide with one number.
Start counting today with zero hardware, add AI photo counts when you want proof, and graduate to always-on camera counting when you are ready.
Start with a tap
Anyone at the door counts people in and out from their phone. No install, no sensors — accurate capacity tracking from day one, at every entrance.
Count from a photo
Snap a picture of any room and AI returns the headcount with a confidence score. Spot-check the floor, settle the “how busy are we” question, keep a record for compliance.
An API for anything
Live counts, history, and forecasts over a secure API. Drive door signage, staffing decisions, surge pricing, or a “how busy is it right now” widget on your own website.
How Occupancy works.
No. The fastest start is a phone at the door — staff tap people in and out and every zone updates live. AI photo counts and camera feeds are upgrades you add when you want them, not prerequisites.
You register a video source and we give you a secured ingest endpoint. Frames are sampled from your feed, people are counted by AI, and the zone number updates continuously — your footage never has to be exposed publicly.
Occupancy keeps counts, not faces. Analysis extracts a number and a confidence score; it does not identify individuals, and continuous feeds are sampled for counting rather than recorded.
Everything is available over the API and webhooks: current counts per zone, capacity status, history, and forecasts. Teams use it for door signage, staffing, compliance logs, and triggering actions in other NOWAITN apps when a space fills up.
